The Mutton Busting event is a crowd favorite!

Mutton Busting Event Participation Information

• Age & Weight Requirements:

  • Ages 5-7 and under 80 lbs (Age as of August 11th needs to be 5-7)

• Entry Fee:
  

  • $15.00 (Debit/Credit cards only)

• Drawing & Notification:

  • We will randomly draw 10 names each night for participation.
  • If your child's name is drawn, we will notify you via email by July 16th at 5 PM.
  • You will have 24 hours to respond.
  • If we do not receive a response within that time frame, we will conduct a second draw on July 18th.

• Release Forms & Seating:

  • If your child's name is drawn, a legal guardian and the child will need to schedule a time to fill out the release forms and choose their seats for the Rodeo.
  • Please, be aware it must be the legal guardian and the participant.
  • Additional seats can be purchased at that time. (Credit/Debit Cards only)

• Participation Rules:

  • Only enter one contestant per household.
  • Only enter for one evening (Entering for multiple evenings will result in automatic elimination).
  • Only the contestant is issued a free rodeo ticket; everyone else will need to purchase tickets.
  • Only the contestant named on this agreement rides. No substitutions.
  • Contestants must be ready when called, or the sheep will be turned out.
  • Only the contestant and one (1) parent will be allowed in the arena when Mutton Busting riders are called.
  • If a contestant is crying or traumatized in any way, Committee Personnel will determine whether the contestant competes.

• Protective Gear:

  • We strongly suggest you bring and wear your own protective headgear. However, the final decision rests with the contestant's legal guardian.
  • The bib must be attached to the back of the rider's shirt.
